Dr. Lonnie Smith was an organist whose music was heavily influenced by the gospel music he grew up with, blues and jazz which he made his name in. His career spanned over 60 years, in which he performed and/or recorded with musicians such as Grover Washington Jr, Carlos Santana, Dionne Warwick, Iggy Pop and George Benson.
He sadly passed away on the 28th Sept 2021 but left behind a legacy and music which continues to inspire people all over the world.
