Last week, BBC Teach announced that their new collection of 10 pieces will consist entirely of women. Ranging from Judith Weir, Reena Esmail, and Hildegard von Bingen the focus on women (and 5 women of colour) is more than welcome and needed, especially within classical music. I'm looking forward to seeing the many resources, and workshops, as well as hearing about how young people are engaging with the stories of these women, and their art.
